Teaching Communication

Effective communication is often touted as the cornerstone of successful leadership, healthy relationships, and personal well-being. Effective communication pedagogy is the means by which to get there.

Teaching Communication provides theoretically grounded research-based guidelines for teaching communication effectively. Edited by communication experts Deanna D. Sellnow and Michael G. Strawser, the series boasts notable volume editors and over 150 contributing authors who represent diversity in perspectives and lived experiences ranging from established leaders in the discipline to rising stars. Each volume provides salient suggestions for what to teach and how to teach it across a broad array of communication, journalism, and media courses.

Recognizing the vast ways in which communication has changed in recent years, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the series serves as an invaluable resource for individuals teaching communication courses or concepts in any academic or professional context.
