    W. Ross Bryan is the associate dean and professor in the Honors College at the University of Alabama. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a master’s degree from Florida State University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina-Asheville.
    Anne Franklin Lamar is an assistant professor and the director of the Honors Year One program in the Honors College at the University of Alabama. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Alabama, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the Mississippi University for Women.
