Summary
Welcome to the first guided journey through evidence-based practice quality improvement (EBPQI), policy analysis (PA), and program evaluation (PE) initiatives framed by the award-winning Mountain Model. This complete resource equips Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students and graduates to lead three much needed types of DNP projects aligned with The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education.

Chapter contents include key information on the differences between EBP, QI, and research, the role of the Institutional Review Board, unfolding examples, and a focus on strategic dissemination. The final chapter focuses on leveraging DNP project results as a springboard to build a sustainable program of scholarship.

Featuring contributions from diverse and experienced DNP students, alumni, and faculty, this groundbreaking guide is written in first-person to engage current and aspiring DNP prepared leaders in advanced nursing practice. The material is brought to life with real world examples, critical reflection questions, and personal vignettes. Evidence-based wellness practices are included with each chapter to remind doctoral learners that our best work is done when we care for our own wellbeing. New reporting guidelines and customizable tools are included to support DNP high-impact scholarship and scalable dissemination paths.
