Older Americans Month 2022
Every May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. The month emphasizes the advancement of independence, integration, and inclusion throughout the lifespan, and emphasizes the fundamental principle that older adults, regardless of disability, should be able to live where they choose, with the people they choose, and with the ability to participate fully in their communities.
At Cognella, we acknowledge the importance of well preparing helping professionals to work with and support older adults. Our Older Americans catalog addresses myriad issues for aging populations and those who work with them, including U.S. social policy, the psychology of aging, communication and aging, social theories and aging, and more.
