    Qingwen Dong earned his Ph.D. in Communications from Washington State University. Currently he is a Professor, and Chair of the Department of Communications at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California where he teaches communication research methods, intercultural communication, and graduate seminars on mass communication. Dr. Dong has authored or coauthored more than 40 research papers for scholarly journals and communication publications. He has presented over 70 papers at regional, national, and international conferences. In 2007, Dr. Dong was the University Eberhardt Teacher/Scholar Award recipient, and in 2009 he received the Faculty Mentor Award.
