Core Concepts in Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Therapy provides readers with a fundamental understanding of rehabilitation following injuries to the hand, wrist, and elbow. Tailored especially for students and new therapists, the text combines a conceptual foundation with practical applications to address complex injuries. The book provides an accessible entry point into the study and real-world handling of common distal limb conditions.

Organized into four parts, the book begins with a foundational overview of distal limb anatomy pertinent to hand therapy, extending into the principles of tissue healing, splints and orthotics, and specific rehabilitation concepts. Chapters guide students through the core concepts needed to address common conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow using treatment flowcharts, detailed breakdown of anatomy, and the expected timeline to recovery. The book encourages critical thinking within clinical norms, referencing peer-reviewed sources for professional development.

Designed to provide students with a brief, easy-to-navigate resource, Core Concepts in Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Therapy is ideal for courses and programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and rehabilitation science.
