A Therapist's Guide into the Brain bridges the fields of neuroscience and psychotherapy by providing a comprehensive guide for therapists that demystifies the human brain and its relevance to practice. The book is intended as both an educational tool and a practical resource for those interested in the neuroscientific underpinnings of mental health treatment.

Readers are equipped with a clearer understanding of the brain's structures and their relation to psychotherapeutic techniques, fostering an informed approach to mental health therapy. Each section is designed to furnish readers with four pieces of critical information: location and identity of the brain area, its function and relevance to psychotherapy, rationale for a therapist's interest, and insights from contemporary neuroscience research. An invaluable resource that broadens therapists’ understanding of neuroscience, the text is ideal for courses in psychology and neuroscience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

A Therapist’s Guide into the Brain is part of the Cognella Neuroscience-Integrated Counseling Series, a collection of titles that accurately and accessibly integrate neuroscience with counseling practice according to CACREP core areas and standards.
