The final chapter guides students through a project that enables them to evaluate what they have learned during their service-learning experience.

Julia Oliver Rajan is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Spanish and Portuguese Department at Northwestern University. She teaches different levels of Spanish and courses for Spanish heritage speakers. Julia is also the author of Coffee Zone: Del cafetal al futuro, a digital archive of her native Puerto Rico oral histories. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also coordinated a federally funded project at the College of Education for bilingual children in the Chicago Public Schools.
